 | Pescara Restaurants | Tips 1 - 7 of 7 | | I had a very pleasant dinner at Ristorante Flaiano, which is located in the old part of the town. The host is from Apulia (south of Italy), but all the dishes served are from Abruzzo. The ambience is very cosy, with many pictures of Italian movies of the 60's. The restaurant started its activity at the beginning of 2007, but locals seem to enjoy it a lot, since the restaurant was fully booked even though it was Monday night.
We started with some bruschette (bread with tomatos, olive oil, tartufo mushroom, ricotta cheese), which were very tasty. My parents then went on with a tagliata di angus (beef) with porcini mushroom. I tried it and I must say it was really excellent! I took farro with porcini and pumpking as main course, it was excellent too and very healthy also. As dessert, we chose a delicious chocolate tart with hot chocolate filling inside. Every dish was well prepared - see my pics for more details. Price: less than 25 € each. A great deal!! Lots of local dishes, both traditional recipes and modern interpretation based on local products. Wines are a great value, wide choice and top quality. This restaurant/enoteca (=wine tasting) is located in the old part of town. The ambience is very cosy and typical Italian, with a wide choice of kinds of wine. The restaurant has many tables and can host many guests but it is spread into many different rooms. The host is from Salamanca (Spain), so you will find many Spanish dishes in the menu (e.g. Jamon Serrano), beside some international ones (e.g. meat imported from Argentina) and of course from Abruzzo.
We decided to take only a main course. My parents chose tagliatelle (home made pasta) with porcini mushroom (a must in Autumn!) and I took home made gnocchi with zenzero. All dishes served were tasty and delicious. We had some chocolate as dessert. My parents tried a local wine (little expensive - 3 euros per glass) and they enjoyed it a lot. The wine list was of course very very long. We spent 18 euros each. I noticed that prices in Abruzzo are much lower than in the north of Italy, and food is always fresh and genuine. A great experience - would come back again! Theme: LocalPrice: US$21-30 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: C.so Manthone, 68 Pescara VecchiaPhone: +39 085 68659

I like the interior design. It had wooden finishing that brought out the natural feel. Their drinks are good and not forgeting the gelato. Drinks are served with tapas-like snacks and plenty of nuts at the counter.
I like the non-alcoholic cocktail. They quench your thirst like nobody's business...:P Theme: CoffeehouseComparison: about averageAddress: Montesilvi --- beside a huge carpark

The seafood there is really fresh. You must try the range of antipasta there. Most of the dishes I tried were raw and it brought out the freshness of the sea. Try the midget crabs, oysters, prawns and panocchie o cicale. I didnt really try the full first plate as I was filled to the brim at the end of the antipasta display.
Panocchie o cicale. Sweet and soft. Must be eaten raw.... Theme: SeafoodAddress: via cristoforo colombo 64029 silvi italy

The restaurant gives a cosy and homely feel and it also has a bar counter. The food is delicious especially the antipasta. For those who want real authentic italian food especially from Abruzzi region, you must come and try it.
I like the anti pasta...especially the smoked fish and the sundried tomatoes. The seafood is fresh and the seasoning is the typical italian type.(No American Style) Theme: ItalianAddress: via san gottardo 22 montesilvano 65016 italy

The food is all prepared by the wonderful chef. They also have thick juicy steak, which is not common in Italy. Opens daily at 6 pm.
