 sandysmith Says:   The views of the alps are rugged and there are no distinct paths...just some faint trails up here. Would have been a great place for a peaceful picnic...just taking in the scenery and solitude.There was a trail over the ridge and down the other side to another village but...

 sandysmith Says:  There are various hiking trails that pass throught the village and up to the Alpi Apuane park behind. Directions are emblazoned on the village walls...but they were the last I saw. There were occassional daubs of paint on rocks but this is a place where you really need a map...

 sandysmith Says:  The village is hemmed in by the mountains...totally unspoilt....I almost felt as if we were intruding at times. The village people we met were friendly but if hoards of people came here it really would spoil the atmosphere.
