by hquittner Written Jan 16, 2015

Most of the statuary in the Parc are of oversized creatures : Goddesses, animals, other mythical elements. Among them is a giant Hercules slaying a large Cacus who is stealing some of the famous oxen. In another place rests an obese giant. Near by is a giant urn of local stone

Visit the Sacred Wood or Parco dei Mostra

by hquittner Written Jan 10, 2015

On the terraced hillside outside of town is the Bosco Sacra, a large area containing numerous statues and stone groupings created from the local stone. Many of the figures are of natural forms and others are mythical or fantastic. The first is the upper part of a giant bear. The next one is a sort of elephant.

    Secondly....

by coceng Updated Sep 8, 2003

Secondly, the residence garden itself. Many names have been called of this strange place.
Bosco Sacro, a Sacred Grove or Bosco dei Monstri, the Monsters' grove but today it is known as The Monsters Park.
It was an un-finished Renaissance garden & was neglected for almost 300 years.
When it was rediscovered early 20th century, it was overgrown with trees, everything was half collapsed; It was then called The Sleeping Garden of Bomarzo.

    Apartment Buildings ?

I would call these buildings as the apartment houses in Bomarzo. Truly Italian but I could still see these 'apartment houses' in Malaysia.
