Wonderful markets

Here are some markets that shouldnt be missed when in calabria, cosenza.In the town of Scalea, Monday markets abound with cheap but pretty clothes , bikinis and trinkets.In the town of Diamante, night markets that open from evening till 1am or even later are full of gorgeous and well-made trinkets, paintings, artefacts etc. I bought plenty of things at 5 euros or less.In praia a mare, there arent really night markets, but the city centre (very small but sufficiently long walkway for the italianmust-have-their daily passegiata) comes alive with little shops selling all sorts of stuff, expensive clothes for rich tourists (very few), cheap household knickknacks, toys, trinkets, sweets etc etc.

Shopping in scalea in summer is lots of fun and a lot cheaper than shopping in the city. Bikinis and summer clothing stores everywhere offer a wide range of goods at prices for evrybody. my favourite buys were a silver toga dress for 5euro from a stall by the beach and a 8euro pink watch from a vendor in a park that still works even though I dropped it twice and accidentally wore it in the sea. absolutely invincible.
