Old part of town is full of old, stone houses that are on the top of the hill. You enter the city through the two arch gates. It's interesting to see it in the Christmas period becuase of the "live Nativity" which is organized and interpreted by people from the city. You can try local food and drink and follow the parts of the story.
During the summer days it's worth to climb to the old city because of the beautiful panorama

The port of Agropoli anciently was a natural small port where there were little boats and little houses and all became part in the wild semplicity of the landscape.
Today the port constitutes a point of departure for a great tourist development and trades of all the Cilento.

The door of old Agropoli still today offers to us, to our admiration towards the top of the hill.
Situated at the top of the long stairs ascending to the old part of Agropoli, is a typical sign of Saracens.
The marble coat of arms that is on the door, is of the S.Felice duques, whose family held Agropoli's manor from 1660 to 1806, that is until the moment of the abolition of the feudalism.

They have pizza, meat, fish...
We tried starters of the house based on marinated fish and after that special type of pasta with local fish and frutti di mare and it was good.
The other plates we saw around us were well prepared and seemed delicious too.
Favorite Dish: Try starters with fried fishes, ham...

Unprofessional cash only, rude personnel (Francesco Gruppi), provides shoddy service, rents dirty old cars (Fiat Panda 1997) with worn out brakes & sticky gearbox, at rates that other dealers provide newer & safer cars ... check with Hotels for car rental services from Salerno or neighbouring towns...some will drop-off and pick-up rentals in Agropoli so there are other better options than Alba Rental Car.

Favorite thing: The coast line is beautiful at Agropoli. Many local people came here on weekends. (I meant to include this tip in Campania, but I can't find Agropoli in that category.)
