piazza duomo

Favorite thing: The main square of Amalfi - just behind the main road through the porta marina - is a hive of activity with the magnificent cathedral and the shops and cafes spilling over into the narrow roads.

fountain detail

Favorite thing: The fountain is baroque in style, being built in 1760. It originally faced the cathedral but was later moved to the side of the square. Have a close look at some of the details!
