shop till you drop by unravelau There were many little knick knack shops with all manner of souveniers available for small and large prices. I was particularly attracted to a couple of art displays up the laneway to the left of the piazza (in this picture)........transporting them home would have been a problem though.
I would be getting souveniers and bits and pieces unless you could organise shipping for larger things. Leave a Comment Theme: ArtAddress: Off the main piazza in Amalfi

by Pawtuxet I found these little miniature clay buildings in a shop along the way...and they sit on a window casing in my house. They are a wonderful reminder of our time along the Amalfi coast...with those little colorful buildings clutching the cliff side...tucked into every little crack and ledge. I try to always buy things that I will use or see daily to help me remember those moments of travel. Leave a Comment Theme: Local Craft

This is a place you must stop at.. almost literally.. Its on the road to amalfi and there's this really tight turn that you almost have to stop at. At Giona Factory the artists actually make the ceramics items on site. They have the typical items of the area, very well made.. we purchased many items that made it home completely intact.. thanks to how they packaged everything so well.
Salt and pepper shakers... lemoncello cups
items from 5 euros to 5000 euros Theme: Local CraftAddress: amalfi coast driveDirections: at the really tight curve

Shopping in rain by chrissy_11 There are dozens of little shops, tucked away in narrow streets and lanes. It's best to take your time and see the lot, then come back to the shops you really want to buy from. The prices can vary, as there is plenty of competition. The shopkeepers are very friendly and helpful and most speak English.
Postcards, souvenirs, leather shoes and plenty of clothes. Don't forget the Limoncello!!

Charming little shop, specialising in that most famous of lemon liquers.
Limocello. This is a liquer made from lemon juice, and very little else. Its served after meals in many Italian restaurants in a frosted glass. Surprisingly drinkable, limoncello is also well priced.
Pay around 10 Euros for a 750ml bottle. Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: Piazza Duomo, on the South-East corner.

The piaza and surrounding area is filled with souvenir and ceramic shops, art galleries, and restaurants.
You can find beautiful ceramics and dishes, hand painted tiles, limoncello and other wines and liquors, beautifully packaged pastas and spices, and tackier souvenir magnets and shotglasses. If you want to buy limoncello or wines to take home, try the supermarket on the right on your way up the street. They have many items similar to the specialty shops, but at better prices.
Many of the stores carry the same items, but not all have the same prices. Shop around if there's something particular you're looking for. Theme: Local CraftAddress: Via GenovaDirections: From the duomo, follow the crowds of people through the narrow street.

Colorful tiles of Amalfi by BorneoGrrl Everywhere you go, you will find shops that sell these beautiful colorful ceramics. They come in forms of tiles, water jugs, salt & pepper shakers, fridge magnets, plates and other kinds of decorations or kitchenware. I bought myself these colorful tiles wherever I go to remind me of the places I've been to in Italy and also some things for the kitchen
Depending on where you buy them (touristy area or further away), you can buy some ceramics from 3€ for a fridge magnet to 15€ for a salt & pepper shaker Theme: Local Craft
