This tiny shop is only a few steps from where the bus drops off visitors in the town of Capri. The jewelry is hand made and the staff are friendly. So, while others are off in serach of Gucci and Prada and Louis Vitton, you can treat yourself to something novel and original. Not all of the stones are precious or even semi-precious but if you look carefully, there are some amazing deals.
You can also find bathing suits and the requisite swimwear in this shop.
You can expect to spend less than you would at many of the boutiques on this same street. Leave a Comment

After a lot of walking, the harrowing busrides or just checking out the prices at the stores of the Piazzatta, it's always gelato-thirty on Capri. Just off of the Piazzatta, to the right, is a narrow street that sends you toward hotels. Soon after you start walking down, a small gelateria will be on your left. You'll probably smell the sweetness of freshmade sugar cones first. Ananas e coco were the winning flavors from our trip. Leave a Comment Theme: Food and Drink

The Carthusian monks provided the "recipes" for the unique perfumes you can buy here including "Aria di Capri" and "Gelsomino (Jasmine) di Capri." Very reasonably priced, you can also buy the fragrances in cream form, perfect for traveling.
My favourite, lo, is a skinlingering fig with an exuberant fizz of tea leaf. Others to try include Fiori di Capri which is a bouquet of carnation and lily of the valley, against a sensual background of sandalwood, ylangylang and oak and Ligea, named after one of the sirens who endeavoured to ensnare Odysseus, which is a seductive blend of mandarin and warm, powdery opoponax.
Around 60 euro for 50 ml. Leave a Comment Theme: Bath and BeautyAddress: Via Camerelle 10Phone: (081) 837 0529Directions: Capri townWebsite: http://www.carthusia.com

What's great is that you pick out the sole that fits and the type of heel you want - flat, one-inch, two-inch, etc, and then select the sandal top from a huge variety of styles and colors, come back an hour later and voila! Your made-to-order sandals are ready.
Sandals of course! Leave a Comment Theme: ShoesAddress: Via Vittorio Emanuele 49Directions: Capritown

Capri is famous for handmade sandals and master cobbler, Antonio Viva, has been crafting them for over 50 years. Located in an open-air shop in Anacapri, Antonio provides the rich, the famous and the everyday tourist with modern versions of the shoe that graced the feet of ancient Romans. Choose your style and color and have them custom fit while you wait. They're much less expensive than anything from Capri's Ferragamo or Jimmy Choo boutiques and a more authentic keepsake of your trip. The shop was very busy the day we were there and Antonio was merrily chatting away whilst hammering out comfy new footwear for adoring fans - the guy is an island treasure! Limoncello is everywhere on the Sorrentine Peninsula. It's a bright yellow liqueur made from the rinds of lemons and usually served as an after-dinner "digestive" - although you can buy little glasses of the stuff any time of the day. It's like super-intense lemonade with a serious kick and the traditional version is made strictly from lemons that grow in this region of Italy. Other than liquids generally being a pain to deal with on a plane, it's a nice, inexpensive gift or souvenir in containers of all sizes - some small enough to tuck inside your shoes to prevent breakage on the flight home. I'm sure most places will ship the larger bottles. Even if you don't spring for a whole bottle, at least try it in a restaurant, a bar or from one of the stands that sell individual glasses. We picked up tiny cupfuls from a kiosk on the way to the Gardens of Augustus. There are many brands and they can taste very different - some sweeter, some with more alcohol "burn", etc. The best-selling label - Limoncello di Capri - can be purchased at shops of the same name in Capri (Via Roma, 79) and Anacapri (Via Capodimonte, 27). It also has a nice website with recipes and information about this sunny beverage. Bonus: some restaurants serve limoncello as their version of the free after-dinner mint! Yum.
Cost depends on size of bottle, starting at a mere couple of euro. Leave a Comment Theme: Local Craft

Sapori di Capri is a beautiful little shop in Ana Capri. I liked how I could see the distillery process behind the counter. We entered to buy some olive oil and left with olive oil, 2 bottles of limoncello and chocolate. The attendant gave us samples of limoncello to try and we automatically purchased two bottles. I tried the normal and creamy limoncello, which I ended-up purchasing. Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkPhone: +39 081 837 3967Directions: Antonio D'Esposito 38 V.
