What's great is that you pick out the sole that fits and the type of heel you want - flat, one-inch, two-inch, etc, and then select the sandal top from a huge variety of styles and colors, come back an hour later and voila! Your made-to-order sandals are ready.
What to buy: Sandals of course!

The Carthusian monks provided the "recipes" for the unique perfumes you can buy here including "Aria di Capri" and "Gelsomino (Jasmine) di Capri." Very reasonably priced, you can also buy the fragrances in cream form, perfect for traveling.
What to buy: My favourite, lo, is a skinlingering fig with an exuberant fizz of tea leaf. Others to try include Fiori di Capri which is a bouquet of carnation and lily of the valley, against a sensual background of sandalwood, ylangylang and oak and Ligea, named after one of the sirens who endeavoured to ensnare Odysseus, which is a seductive blend of mandarin and warm, powdery opoponax.
What to pay: Around 60 euro for 50 ml.

This tiny shop is only a few steps from where the bus drops off visitors in the town of Capri. The jewelry is hand made and the staff are friendly. So, while others are off in serach of Gucci and Prada and Louis Vitton, you can treat yourself to something novel and original. Not all of the stones are precious or even semi-precious but if you look carefully, there are some amazing deals.
What to buy: You can also find bathing suits and the requisite swimwear in this shop.
What to pay: You can expect to spend less than you would at many of the boutiques on this same street.

After a lot of walking, the harrowing busrides or just checking out the prices at the stores of the Piazzatta, it's always gelato-thirty on Capri.
Just off of the Piazzatta, to the right, is a narrow street that sends you toward hotels. Soon after you start walking down, a small gelateria will be on your left. You'll probably smell the sweetness of freshmade sugar cones first. Ananas e coco were the winning flavors from our trip.

Since 1948, this shop has attracted many well known clients and separated them from their money. The scents are unique and very popular among women especially my wife.

On Capri, the first thing that meets your eyes is the small cafes and souvenir shops as you get off the boat.
There is a lovely shop that sells lemon/strawberry liquer in very pretty decorated bottles for very cheap prices - 3-10 Euros for bottles. I think its called limoncella.......but not sure. You are forced to try the liquer, even if you dont drink :) by the lady in the shop. It tastes great and is very very strong.
There are tons of souvenirs for those who want mementos, and you can sip a chilled granita after all the shopping on one of the sea front cafes.
What to buy: Limoncella

There's a few lovely ceramic shops selling huge colourful pots and plates in Anacapri. Shame it's difficult to bring them back home but I think some of them home deliver.
