When the ferry docked, "bag boys" quickly ran up the ramp and boarded the ferry, grabbing up luggage and loading it onto push carts. Then they pushed their carts off the ferry and up to the taxi stand, and requested about 5 or 6 Euros per bag to load it into your taxi. I watched one elderly lady repeatedly tell these bag boys "NO!" every time they tried to pull her bag away from her to load it. She told them over and over "I have it - please leave me alone!" -- After this happened several times, she finally bopped him with her umbrella. I would recommend that you are very firm with these bags boys if you don't want them to carry your laggage the 100 feet to the taxi stand - then expect to get paid 5 or 6 Euros.
