We took a boat ride from Pisciotta over to the grottos in Palinuro. The caves were illuminated by the bright blue water which captured the light from outside and reflected into the caverns. It looked as though they were lit from below, it was amazing. There are also interesting rock formations, arches and windows in the side of the craggy mountain that bordered the sea.

When I was living in Pisciotta and we wanted to go to a nice sandy beach (instead of one covered in little stones and sea glass) this is where we would come. Beautiful sandy beaches to relax on, only a few miles from Pisciotta.

Authenticity and Modesty: this is what you can read at the entrance of the restaurant, and this is what brought me in: I was curious!
The restaurant offers good local food (mainly baxsed on fish) and pizza. More you can try a very old locale recipe called "Vicciatella della Nonna", almost unknown nowadays and proposed onbly by this restaurant.
I also had a good grilled fish

You can be temnpted by the tables places on a terrace with a great view over the coast, but better stay away from this restaurant: it's owner is a very unpleasant person, who's been rude with customers and waiters. It never happened to me that the dish was removed from the table while I was still eating!
The food itself is just acceptable, not really eorth the price.
