Fondest memory: The view of Positano as we left by boat back to Amalfi was a lovely sight. Indeed this is the best way to take in Positano. It had taken us nearly 4 hours to reach here so we relished the thought of not having to hike all the way back. The 30 min boat ride (costing 4 euros) was all too short when you have such stunning scenery to admire.

Favorite thing: The domes of the churches in this area are really colourful with their majolica tiles.
Fondest memory: I really loved this view of the dome of the church as we made our way down into Positano and the puple flower added to the impact.

Favorite thing: Beaches are not the main attraction of Positano. The are only two beaches and they are not so recommendable.
The eastern one is based on the village centre. Its day price is quite high and it has extremely hot stones instead of sand, so sandals are quite handy there. The beach is not very large and it is very crowded.
The western one is more enjoyable and less crowded, because the walking, or actually climbing, there and back is quite laborious.
The basci thumb rule with accommodation and beaches are, the cheaper place the more difficult to get to the beaches. However, the western part is generally cheaper - due to longer distance to village centre.

Favorite thing: Baptize yourselves in the refreshing (yet SALTY) waters of Salerno Bay! The water was a welcome relief to the hot days we spent on the beach.
Fondest memory: You can have your own natural exfoliation and pedicure with the rocky bottom of the bay. Good for the calluses and great for smooth, silky skin!!!

Favorite thing: I couldn't stress enough to folks traveling to Positano how ROMANTIC this town is! However, even if you're just traveling with a group of friends like we did.......it's still the best place to just sit back and chill. It was the most relaxing time I have ever had on holiday!
Fondest memory: Good friends, good times, and being pampered like the PRINCIPESSAS that we are!!!

Favorite thing: Checking out the other coastal towns was a treat! You can pay around 8 Euros for cruises to the neighboring towns such as Amalfi, Ravello, and Capri.
Fondest memory: This was our first day trip to Capri. We were on a nice size boat with a deck large enough for all of us to kick back and dig the scene..........

Favorite thing: Anywhere you are in Positano, you will surely have the BEST view in town! You'll spin yourself silly just mesmerized by all the beauty that surrounds this magical place.
Fondest memory: My friends caught me in this mystery pose............"What exactly was she thinking?"
A) Someday my PRINCE will come?
B) Romeo, oh, Romeo, wherefore art thou?
C) It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood?
D) What the heck is that guy doing down there in the bushes??!!!!

Favorite thing: The breathtaking view of Positano will forever be a fond memory for me...... whether it's from atop the hill looking down from your villa, or across the bay as you approach the dock on your boat
Fondest memory: The best memory I have was meeting some of the friendliest people on this planet. To live amongst the locals for 2 weeks and be treated like royalty each and every day is not something you encounter in every place around the globe.
They take pride in the fine quality of life they live in their beautiful coastal town.

Favorite thing: If you are planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast and trying to decide where to stay- here are some hints/guidelines. Sorrento is a little city with lots of value accommodations. However, it lacks the charm and the beauty of the little towns on the coast. If you are going on your honeymoon or looking for a once in a lifetime experience, splurge and stay in Positano, Amalfi, Praiano or even Ravello. You can find values on the coast and you will be making memories to last a lifetime.

Favorite thing: I'd drive others along the coast road and then down into Positano on the one-way, extremely narrow road. I love a challenge!
Fondest memory: Walking down to the beach and restaurants, and driving on those crazy roads..
