dirty legs!

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: If you hike to Positano along the Senterio Degli Dei then bring plenty of wet ones to clean the backs of your legs! The trail can be rather dusty - just look at the state of my legs!
Just imagine going into one of those designer shops like this to try some clothes on....I don't think so!!

Bring something warm

Luggage and bags: No special bags or luggage

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring something warm for the month of March, a sweater or jacket is needed. I thought it would be pretty warm in this area, but I was wrong!

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: If you can remember to bring everything with you, you're better off, because prices are pretty high here in Positano. But if you forget something don't worry, they have just about anything you could need.

Get ready for your BUNS OF STEEL workout!

Luggage and bags: As always......pack light! Positano is a cliffside town so pack only what you think you can carry up several flights of steps or several hills. If you rent a hotel room down near the main beach area, they have porters who can carry your luggage on their carts. Otherwise, you're on your own when luggging your pack on and off the trains, boats, and steps of Positano.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring comfortable shoes and leave the high heels at home, please! God forbid you slip down one of the 1,900 steps of the town in your stilettos! Positano is a beach town so folks go very casual there......even in the evenings! In the summer and into September the weather stays quite warm so beach attire is required.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Since there is only ONE "Farmacia" in the whole town of Positano, it might be wise to stock up on your own medical supplies. You may be able to find some of your toiletry necessities at some of the corner markets, but pack whatever you can fit in your SMALL luggage, just in case.

Photo Equipment: Bring lots and lots of film! You can never take a bad picture in a town like Positano. Every angle is a photo opportunity! Panoramic shots come out gorgeous and frameable!
