Salerno Tourist Traps

Usually restaurants can be element of surprise...think well before ordering wine...if want to pay less, try ordering the house wine. In case you order the whole bottle, make sure to check the menu first, in order to avoid unpleasant surprise.
As for the water...check the price in the menu, otherwise in stead of the usual 1,5 or 2 euro (bottles are sometimes 0,75L or 1L) you could find yourself paying 3-4 euro per bottle, in that case other drink could be more appropriate.
One more thing...don't forget there's always a "copertto" ...which basically means...before you even order something you just need to pay for the seat...napkins...things like that...and it's generally from 1 - 2,5 euro per person...depending on the level of the restaurant...

As for bars...yes...it does make a difference whehter you take your coffee sitting outside, inside or just sipping it by the bar's desk....

Unique Suggestions: It happens even to the locals...so try not to upset yourself too much, usually there's nothing much to do about it.
