Positano Along the Amalfi Coast: A Shopper's Paradise
As one can see from the photograph, much of the "ware" is outside the shops (depending on the weather, of course!) The clothing shops hang the garments from the ceilings, the walls, and the doorways.Most of the buildings in Positano are brilliant white, and the bright clothing really looks grand against it.All the clothing that we looked at was quite expensive, but very well made. The fabrics were luxurious to the feel and to the eye.Hats were also a big item in Positano, and the hats were in brilliant colors also.The shop keepers were not pushy in any way. They tended to let the customers "roam at will", and they always smiled and said their goodbyes with Italian charm. If you have plenty of money to spare, Positano is a great place to buy women's clothing, especially if you admire bright colors and cotton fabrics.Jewelry (hand made) was also of interest here along with lovely scarves...
