Aurora: Quite good pizza
The service was most "bored" we saw in Sorrento. Was it because being there out of the season? On the other hnd, wouldn´t it make you more helpful, if it´s no "too much" people dining?
Anyway: Pizza was very good with the bottom and cheese, but we were not happy to find out that the garlic (witch was sliced, that´s usually a good thing if you ask me!!!) was tasting very old. There was enough of it, but it wsn´t fresh. If it would hve been fresh, it would have been GREAT pizza, but I think they should have had fresh toppings.
There was no house wine for us budget travellers, so we bought only 0.375 bottle.
Maybe not worth of it´s reputation, but good anyway.
Favorite Dish: Pizza with spicy salami and extra garlic.

Aurora: Great Pizza!
This is a real pizzeria with a proper pizza oven. It was recommended to us as the best pizza in Sorrento.
They do great starters and desserts as well.
It is under the same management as the adjacent restaurant O Canonico.
Favorite Dish: Pizza, obviously. But the melon and parma ham starter was good too.

Pizzeria Aurora: Award-Winning Pizzas
Pizzeria Aurora is centrally located in Piazza Tasso, and serves fifty varieties of award-winning pizzas! I had a vegetarian pizza with tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and mozzarella cheese. It was definitely worth of an award! The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with longer opening times than others in the area. Don't buy an overpriced dessert- grab some gelato at the nearby Gelateria Davide instead.

PIZZERIA AURORA: Pizza at a price!
The location of this restaurant is quite nice, off the main square by a few feet, but close enough to sit and watch the world go by.
The waiters had something a little different from the other places we looked at, they had a smile and actually took the time out to chat and have a laugh with you! Above all else in Sorrento this had to be the one thing about this place we both enjoyed, a genuine feeling of being welcomed in to eat.
In total our meal came to 22 euros, not cheap by any standards, but then again, that was the norm for most places in Sorrento.
With that feeling all around us, we didn?t need much prompting to eat and drink there for a couple of hours, and we never felt pressured to finish up and leave.
Like all of the places in the square, you get charged for your location, as well as the usual extras, ours came in at 4 euros, and to be honest we didn't really bother about it as we enjoyed everything so much.
Favorite Dish: Well it has to be Pizza (Pepperoni as I thought - but I found out it was PEPPERS rather than the meat I had expected). It turned out to be better than I had thought, so much so I ate the lot, and we are talking about a big Pizza here.
My wife went for the Cannelloni and this too was excellent. The sauce on both of the dishes was plentiful, tasty, aromatic, and just so nice that you just hated to take the last bite!
pizzeria aurora: Best penzerotto
This is by far the best panzerotto i've ever had! You can watch them make them in the wood oven. It's very filling, and a great deal for only 7 euros.....
