    The Red Lion

The name suggests that this is a tacky British bar in the sun!
Do not be fooled it isnt!

It is a reasonably priced restaurant offering everything Italian!

Favorite Dish: We ate here a few times, enjoying Pizza - Margheritas and one with sausage and Brocoli!!?!

The Bruscetta Pomodoro is brilliant, the beer is cheap and you get Grappe after your meal!

We ate here, 2 people with drinks for less than 20 Euro everytime.

The service is brillliant and you can eat Al Fresco or inside.

The Red Lion: Great local food

This place may let you think its an English Pub or restaurant but its definately not. Set a few streets back from the Piazza Tasso its well worth a visit. The pizza is made from scratch then stone baked on a blazing fire just inside the restaurant so if there is no seats left outside you can sit inside and watch them cook your food. The pasta is lovely too and the menu is huge - pizza, pasta, steaks, seafood, and plenty of side dishes to choose from. Very reasonably priced too - we ate there both times for less than 30 euros, although it was lunchtime we were there, but an evening meal would maybe only be about 40-50 euros with wine and beer.

Favorite Dish: Scott had the Messicana pizza twice and I had a pasta in a pesto sauce with broccoli and sausage - it was great.

Don't let the name put you off, it is a nice Trattoria/Pizzaria . There was a good mix of locals and tourists and the staff were friendly. Good value for money. We spent 32.50 euros for two including local wine and left completely full up. A complimentary glass of Limoncello (the local lemon based liqueur) was given to every customer when we were there. Situated one block away from the train station.

    The Red Lion: Take-away pizza

With a name like 'The Red-Lion', we expected this to be your regular English pub abroad: sky-sports, darts and pool.... However, it seemed like quite a nice place, plus they idd a great deal on take away pizzas for only 3 euro.
