Civitanova Marche Travel Guide

Less than an hour away, the striking hill town of Loreto, home to the Loreto Convent, is one of the world's most important shrines to the Virgin Mary. The great dome of the Sanctuario della Santa Casa dominates the countryside for miles around; below this stands the rustic cottage from Nazareth that witnessed the Annunciation and the childhood of Jesus. It was "acquired" and brought here in 1294. In the middle ages the church started work on the cathedral and many of the most celebrated names of Late Renaissance Italy were involved, giving the disbeliever good reason to come here. Started on Gothic lines, later architects including Bramante and Sansovino gave the church a thorough Late Renaissance treatment. The local art gallery houses many important works including some by Giotto.

This is a restaurant in the high part of Civitanova marche (civitanova alta).If you do not have a car, you should go to civitanova alta by bus and then catch a taxi as it is not far from the centre but still in the country side.The best deal of the restaurant is the huge variety of starters which include some ham and other pork products and then a mix of soups, at any soup they bring a different kind of home made bread.
Starters for two which I am sure it's enough, unless you are curious to try something more are 12€ per person and this include a sweet.
In my opinion they should just slow down the service as, they are just too fast to let you totally enjoy the food.

Favorite Dish: When I have been there they had white truffle so, even if we were full with the starters we wanted to try some pasta(ravioli) with the truffle and they were excellent.
