 myriam_c Says:  Il Basilico is a fairly large restaurant in Deiva. It has a nice sidewalk terrace and service was OK. We only had lunch here: ravioli di pesce a la Liguria which was black/white ravioli filled with salmon in a seafood sauce. Delicious!

 pollon Says:   if you feel like of an icecream or a fresh drink, get out of the free beach from the small passage at its back and a few tenner of meters on the left there is a "gelateria" with yummy composition of icecream, fruit, cream, chocolate and so on...

 pollon Says:  this was my nightlife when I was a child: this cinema at that time showed only movies for children or animation movies... now it seems to be still in on business and with more various movies as there was a poster of Troy next to the entrance.

 pollon Says:  maybe it's normal and it's me who don't frequent Ligurian camp sites so often but I found great that the Camping Valdeiva offers a free bus service to cover the about 3 km to the town...

 pollon Says:  in italy there is the belief that a black cat brings unluck if it crosses in front of you... personally I'm a cats' lover and I have a black cat, which I have read once in a book brings instead luck to the person owning it and in any case I don't belive in any of this...

 pollon Says:   to be honest there is not much you can do in Deiva unless you want to enjoy its sea and its sandy beach as the town is a small one with a tiny supermarket, a few shops where to buy postcards, stationery, some souvenirs or toys - the toy shop which was my paradise as a kid...
