Rimini is one of the most famous seaside resorts in Italy thanks to its 15 km-long sandy beach, over 1,000 hotels.
In this area the water is shallow and the ground sandy, so it is nice, agreeable and safe to take a bath, especially for children. Only far out on the open sea, the water can be somewhat deeper, a modest 100 m.
I had only half an hour to swim in the sea and lay on the beach at Rimini but it was quite enough to enjoy this place.
Beach umbrellas, sunshades and deck chairs can be rented in the official beach areas where you also find everything else that makes the stay on the seafront a pleasure. There are many cafes and food stalls where you can get a drink, an ice-cream or a snack.
An art city with ancient Roman and Renaissance monuments, Rimini is the hometown of the famous film director Federico Fellini as well.

Favorite thing: Beach, sea, sun and fun and cultural gems amongst it. Nobody will be bored here because it's both cultural and party town.
