Fidenza Village: Big brands, smaller prices

by Manara

The Fidenza Village is in fact a mall, with the difference that you walk in the open air when going from a shop to another. The other, more interesting difference is that prices here are discounted all year round, and during the sales season they are reduced even further. Discounts can vary from 20% to 70%.The architecture of the place can be correctly described as an example of pure kitsch, but who cares? The visitor's eye is focused on the shop-windows, so the "Byzantyne" or "Egyptian" decoration of the buildings can be easily ignored. The Fidenza Village is open seven days a week, from 10.00 to 20.00. There are about 90 shops in the village, and among them big names such as Armani, D&G, Valentino and Versace. The majority of shops sell clothes, shoes and accessories, however there are also ones selling linens for the home, luggage, sports articles and other things.

Parmigiano Reggiano

by i-bella

One of the typical products of the region is Parmesan cheese. It takes the name from Parma, but the official name is Parmigiano Reggiano, from Parma and Reggio. Actually this wonderful cheese is produced in a larger area of Emilia Romagna: the provinces of Parma, Reggio, Modena and part of the province of Bologna produce the genuine Parmesan.
