I miss the markets of Italy. This was an experience. Its just like a flea market in the states but they have them in every little town everyday. I used to get some of my cutest clothes at markets as opposed to the malls and stores. Now granted you may have to try your clothes on in the back of a van with a sheet separating you and the other person, but at least you know the likelihood of seeing someone else in your outfit is slim. Always go in the morning. The earlier, the better parking you get. They are usually packed up around 1pm-ish.
You can get everything: plants, great food, fresh seafood, sunglasses, clothes, pets, etc
What to buy: Aviano's market is every Tues right in the square. You cant miss it because you can't drive on the streets. Pordenone has a big market on Wed and Sat. My hot spots were Spilimbergo on Saturdays and Maniago on Monday. After I started taking my friends there, they were hooked. They have the CUTEST shoes and club clothes at the Spilimbergo market. Udine has a huge one as well on Sunday. Roveredo is Thurs, Sacile on Thurs. If you are going to the beach, Lignano's market is on Monday too.
What to pay: Varies.
