The city of Ferrara is completly enclosed even today by large walls of earthen works and brick that we will take a bike ride around when we visit Alsi and Lorenzo next time.

Asli and Tal have a custom that they started it is called "Feeding Pigeons In The Park" (or road, or square, or restaurant, or church, or wherever), in other words they will feed pigeons wherever they find them. I think that these two have "animal magnetism" so that wherever we go all the animals in the neighbour hood are "attracted" to them. The pigeons sure seem to know when that special team of Asli and Tal show up, the "flock" to the spot, the word was spread all over Italy by courier pigeon.......
Even on such a simple thing as a window or door you can see the detail. Each door has its own arch first of bricks and then four rows of detailed carving... But here the windows look as if they were added later, there are elements that seem to be cut off which is usually a sure sign of a change in the structure.more
This is the main street or square of Old Ferrara, you can see the city castle at the end of the square. All along the right side you can see where there were small shops and above the shops the residences of the shop owvners. But take special note of how few cars there are and how many bike riders.
