Opening and closing thousands of parasols, each and every day, must be the hardest job one have in Lignano. One might gone banana of it. This guys are doing fantastic job, keeping parasols and folding chairs in perfect order.

The beaches are prohibited for dogs and animals. But at Lignano Sabbiadoro East, the dogs have their own beach in which they are allowed to stay if they are kept on the leash.
May I bring my rothweiller ?

I never found the Chinotto outside Italy.
It is a soda made with chemical products an especially, the quinine. Its flavor is bitter and surprising.
I know my description does not promote the Chinotto but I suggest you try : it is very surprising and in any case better than the Root Beer.
One brand of this beverage is owned by Coca Cola.
During my last trip in Italy (2007) I saw the Chinotto was rare and the Coca Cola more present in the supermarkets.

July is the German month and August is the French one. Both months are of course also Italian.
When a shopkeeper listens to my heavy accent, he answers me in German.
But, in spite of 16 months in Germany as a soldier, I do not speak and understand German. So, I answer :
Non capisco il Tedesco, ma provi l'Italiano. Va meglio.
