Il Miro Discoteca is situated on a multi-acre property in Lignano Sabbiadoro. There is truly something for everyone, since it has 8 rooms, each with different sounds and decor. Most of the rooms have live DJ sets, and there's a good mix of lounging and dancing.
What struck me most about this nightclub was how large it was- you have plenty of room to move. My favorite rooms are the open-air hip-hop pavilion and the multi-level dance area. There's also a "beach" area with lounge chairs and a separate bar, if you want a break from the music and the crowd. Speaking of bars, they are scattered everywhere, with friendly bartenders and fast service. Drinks are moderate to expensive, so get your money's worth with a Bomba Blu.
Lignano is a popular vacation spot with many area locals, so expect il Miro to be busy during the July-August months, and especially on the weekends. If you do plan on going, plan on being on the guestlist, which can save you around 5 euro and potentially a long wait. There is not much to do and see at night in Lignano, so, the common night occupation is walking in the main commercial street, stopping for a drink in the many restaurants and bars. Near the church it is possible to listen to some music, performed by street artists. For a couple of nights there was a very good south american group.

Some sports events provide extra animation, and that could be a good chance for a different night in a calm city. The European Masters Games made two parties, one at the opening, in the beach and the final one at the sports centre. We were not present in the first one, but we heard that it was a great event, with thousands of people. The last one gathered only a few hundreds, but it was vary good, with a fabulous musical group. In a no stop performance the imitated most top singers and players in the world. A simple and humoristic change of head of hair, and the singer immediately acquired a new identity and style, always playing and singing with great emphasis and quality.
Everybody danced all night, of course!

Each evening, near the bridge on the main street, there is a free show at 9PM.
On the picture, there is a troupe of young singers and dancers coming from Boston.

On the evening the main street of Lignano is forbiden for the cars and people can walk to have a look to the shops or to buy a "gelato".

Lignano offers some free exhibitions during the Summer months like this one : men on stilts dancing on a very rythmic music.
