The picture was taken beginning of april, and usually the tower is connected with the rest of the water. Not this time - it was bathing in...

 desert_princess Says:  In winter you can take a walk to the base of the tower because the whole lake is frozen.The tower is a symol of the whole area - even Nauders has it on all its brochures and you can not see the lake from there.

So these are the two lakes Reschen lake and the smaller - Haider lake ( "Hoad" as the locals are calling it). Between them there is the dam wall and the village of St Valentin - what a lovely name...
