Hotel Oxford: Fiuggi, Fiuggi

Kuznetsov_Sergey Says:  I spent three nights in this 3 star hotel in July of 1996 when being in tour around Italy. It is located rather far from Rome (about 60 km), but it had been chosen by our tourist firm as the most cheapest to accommodate our group for two days close in Rome. Nothing to...

After a long day in Rome we returned to Fiuggi tired and hungry. We walked and shopped a little. Then we found a small restaurant at the corner of two main streets. It has a bar inside and has some tables in the garden. Also there is a night club under this restaurant.

I ordered a pizza, as usual, and we all drunk some red vine. The staff was very helpful and pleasant and the food was delicious.

There are numerous supermakets in the town selling Italian specialities and international brand names.
If you are staying in a self catering apartment you should be able to find almost everthing you need in the supermarkets.
Remember some shops close in the afternoon from 1p.-4pm.

What to buy: Amaretti biscuits and Cesanese wine are local products.

What to pay: By law you will be given a till receipt on purchase of all goods, either in shops or bars.
This will tell you what you have bought and the price.
