Sail off into the sunset on Lake Bracciano

You will see all types of small sail boats, paddle boats and windsurfing on the lake. The use of motorboats is strictly forbidden (exceptions being made for a few professional fisherman and the authorities), and a centralised sewer system has been built for all the bordering towns in order to avoid any spoiling of the water quality. This makes Bracciano one of the cleanest lakes of Italy. The absence of motorized navigation (apart from police boats) favours sailing and canoeing.

    Swim!

Well, what else can you do in one of Italy's cleanest lakes?

This lake is pretty nice for swimming since it's small enough so you don't get waves, motor vehicles are banned (with the exception of the ferry that regularly connects the three towns on the lake), swimming lanes are clearly marked by buoys and the likelihood of bumping onto a Roman guy is very low.

    Equipment: Swimming suit maybe?
