There's very little in the way of refreshments or eateries in Ostia Antica. After our 4 hour visit we stopped off at the little snackbar. The 12 of us cleaned it out of sandwiches, coffees, beers, etc.
Now across the footbridge at the next crossing, just before you walk up the entrance lane towards the actual archeological site, there is a restaurant on your righthand corner. But it was closed when we were there. We could not find any sign or menu.
Favorite Dish: Not really anything favourite. It was food, that's all. But good enough for a picknick lunch if you've forgotten to take some with you.
Next to the museum is situated the cafeteria where you can have a break on your visit to Ostia. You can buy drinks, food, chocolates or sweets.
Junto al museo esta situada la cafeteria donde puedes descansar y tomarte algo en la visita a Ostia. Tienen de todo, comida caliente como pasta, pizza, sopa y comida fria como sandwiches, ensaladas, refrescos, helados etc.
this must have been a snack bar of a sort - clearly distinguishable a (bar?) desk towards the streets and some shelves...
Favorite Dish: bruschetta antica? pizza vulgaris?
