The restaurant is attached to hotel Europa, a stone's throw from Piazza del Rufo (see my things to do tip). Rieti may not be the Italian food capital, but this funny and welcoming couple does a good job. We tasted local antipasti, local olives, local ham, local meat, local white "amatriciana" (gricia) pasta and drank wine from Piemonte (why no local reds?)
Favorite Dish: Pasta alla Gricia - a definite must

This cafe belongs to the hotel with the same name. We stopped there for aperitivo before dinner. The service was dead slow but the terrace was pretty full. However, it served good stuff and offered us some chips and peanuts, which is always nice. The price was ridiculously low for table service in the main square
