By car - a great drive from Rome as you pass fields of sunflowers, grazing sheep, and see extraordinary vistas as you travel up the mountains.
From the north
Take the A1 Firenze-Roma highway, exit at Orte, continue on the Orte-Terni highway and continue in the direction of Rieti, following the SS 675 or SS79.
From the South
Take the A1 Napoli-Roma highway, exit at San Cesareo and follow the indications for Firenze. Exit at Fiano Romano and continue on the SS4 Salaria in the direction of Rieti.
From the East
Take the A24 Roma-L'Aquila-Teramo highway. Shortly after Tivoli take the A1 highway towards Firenze and exit at Fiano Romano. Continue on the SS4 Salaria in the direction of Rieti.
From Rome
From the Grande Raccordo Annulare (Ring Road) take the A1 Firenze-Roma highway (exit #10), exit at Fiano Romano (before the Roma-Nord toll booth) and continue on the SS4 Salaria in the direction of Rieti.
By Bus
Take the COTRAL bus line that leaves from the Tiburtina Railway Station in Rome and arrives at the Railway Station in Rieti.
Duration: 1h and 40 minutes.
Tickets can be bought at the stations.
From Rome there is a subway-train service that takes you to the Fara Sabina station from where you can continue on to Rieti with the COTRAL bus line. The bus service leaves from various stations in Rome, including the Tiburtina Railway Station, every 15 minutes.

By Train
Rieti can be reached from Terni or from L’Aquila by train taking the Terni-Rieti-L'Aquila-Sulmona line.
