Favorite thing: There are locals dressed as gladiators who hang around the coliseum - you can take your picture with them (for a price). Also look for the "coliseum cats" supposedly descended from Ancient Rome.

Favorite thing: This is one of the many hallways you find inside the Colosseum... It's like a maze in there...once you start walking around you could get a little lost... ;)

Favorite thing: When you are in the colosseum area you will not be able to miss this, which is nearby. The arch was dedicated in 315 AD to celebrate Constantine's victory over Maxentius.

We spent so much time looking around in here, although there doesn't look like much to 'see' it is all very interesting...

Favorite thing: We had a look on the inside of the Colosseum...it was nothing like I expected... This building has really lasted well through the many years it has been standing!!!

Favorite thing: around the colloseum and foro romano is such a cultural shock- being surrounded by the ruins of what was once the centre of the world. it is truly inspiring.

A: There is a green building out in the piazza dei cinquecento in front of termini labelled "information". I presume that this is either the same building or its descendant....
