The orange busses of Gaeta

by unravelau

The orange bus has a terminal in the medieval section of Gaeta. They tour around Gaeta as well as further afield having good services to Monte Cassino, Sperlonga and Formia to name a few.In the holiday season there is also a special bus that departs from the base of Mount Orlando and carries you up to the second highest level. It runs about 1/2 hourly and will stop and pick you up at any point.

Terracina from Rome

by unravelau

I have been a few places in Lazio by car but by far the most travelling has been by train, bus and foot. Lazio has an efficient and frequent train service from Rome and at each station, buses are the go. You need to keep a check on the timetables for local busses because often they don't run into the night and can be infrequent. Having said that, they do stick to their timetables and can be relied upon for that.Trenitalia on line I believe keeps the train timetables up to date.
