if you can dive till -80 a dive to the haven can be really exciting. You need to be guided as it's not an easy dive at all and there are some rule to follow
Equipment: if you don't know what you need you'd better stay on the surface!!!!!!

it's quite simple... you chose a small stream and you climb it downstream, lerca river is great, you spend most of the time in a really narrow and deep canion
Equipment: the same you use to climb up a mountain with the "only" difference you spend most of your time in the water, so a scuba suit will be useful if it's not a really hot day.

not far from genoa, arenzano is a good place to stay if you like hicking in the mountains or diving on a sunk tanker.
