Caffe' Defilla is a lovely little spot near the center of Chiavari. The wine bar offers a wide array of excellent wines and a fine menu. We had risotto di mare which was tasty. You might like to stop by check whats on the little chalkboard and give it a try. This place comes highly recommended by the fine folks at Villa Utttz (see my Rovereto page) :-)

Favorite Dish: Caffé Defilla is an enoteca con ristoro (wine-shop with refreshment) and you can know what they offer reading the blackboard outside: there is no other menu except that but it's really worth tasting, only be prepared to pay a little bit more than average...

just read the little blackboard outside the door... that's all you can have for the day (usually a couple of choices). As an alternative you can have a selection of cheese or "salumi".
The food is always excellent, but the real reason to come here is wine, Mr Rossi has a really wide selection of wine and the knowledge to suggest you the best for the occasion.

Favorite Dish: I never had to complain, everithing is really well cooked. As usual, price of course heavily depends on the wine you choose.
