Chiara led us to this restaurant during our stay in Chiavari. The restaurant has delicious food for a reasonable price. The interior is kinda basic, not a place for a romantic evening, but we didn't mind because the company was good :-). According to Chiara the service is very friendly but the waiters had a day off and the owner who served us was a little bit sour.
Favorite Dish: I had Pansoti in salsa di noci
(fresh pasta filled with vegetables and ricotta cheese with nut sauce) as a first course. My husband had the minestrone soup with pesto (Genua style), and we shared the fried fish (seafood and anchovy) as a main course. Don't forget to take a "contorno" (side dish) of vegetables and/or potatoes. It was all very yummy.

Paganini is my best liked place for a dinner with good food at reasonable price, the service is so freindly and don't miss its pansotti (fresh pasta filled with vegetables and ricotta cheese) with nut sauce.
and why not, again as a first dish, its agnolotti (fresh filled pasta) with pesto (normally they are served with meat sauce)... well this last maybe is the choice of a Pidmontese... I have been pulled my leg for the whole meal because of this choice of mine...
still have to ask permission to the man with caps eyes, in my pic, for having put him on line...

definitely not a place for a candel light dinner, just a sad looking place but serving good food for a more than reasonable price.
DO NOT order loose wine it's awful!!!

Chiavari at the Ligurian Coast

C H I A V A R I is a medium-sized coastal town at the Ligurian coast, halfway between Cinque Terre and Genoa. I would have never known this place if it wasn't for VT and my VT friend Chiara (Pollon).
