Lift to Castelletto- on the top

    the top of the lift

This is the top of the lift with a nice terrace and a great park and benches.

The fee for the lift was moderate - I think it was just as much as the bus-fare.

Walking down the hill is nice and shows some nice streets and old palazzi, you might otherwise miss

A great thing to do is to take the train form the cassella station. It winds up and over the mountains without rack and pinion. It's 75 years old and is a bit shaky, but is outstanding for views and seeing the mountains.

Genua - take the lift up the mountain

I have to check again the name of this square !

You may enter the house on the right and walk a rather long corridor backwards into the mountain, where a lift will take you on top of the small hill, where you have a great view over Genua

In Italy, as many countries in europe I assumed.. the houses locate higher on the hill are much expensive than those ones in lower area.. normally people who are rather rich will be living there.. unlike in China or Brazil.. things could come into a contrary... interesting world..

We ran into an old local lady, she told us there was a viewpoint on the hill which offers a good panorama of the city.. we were lucky to meet her.. the view was truely beautiful.. on the way down i had a strawberry sorbet in the cafeteria.. made my memories even sweeter

Its easy to find just following the signs from Genoa, its about a 30 min drive but well worth it once you get to the top, its so peaceful and the hills just surround you. Bring a jacket tho because although it was incrediably warm down in Genoa your going up into the hills and it soon changes in temp. We just drove up to the hills, parked the car and walk up a hill and sat that for sunset.
