surrounding, Lerici, La Spezia

The township, which dates back to roman times, is dominated by a medieval castle now transformed in a magnificent paleontologic museum. There are several beautiful villas in this area and the picturesque old township is surrounded by gardens and sunlit beaches.

Lerici is a beautiful seaside village with a coastal walk by a nice marina and a castle overlooking the sea. We visited Lerici during the afternoon and loved it so much that we stayed for dinner and for a night stroll on the walk by the marina. Unfortunately it was pouring that day and photos came out lousy!! We had a fantastic dinner there on a small typical restaurant and food was great.

I'd return to Lerici and recommend everybody to visit.
