Overall, we did not have as good a time in the Cinqueterra as others have had. (We stayed briefly in Vernazza). It *was* picturesque and charming, and we enjoyed a glass of sciacchetra wine. The food was, of course, excellent. But the town was crowded, our room was stuffy, over a noisy kitchen with a noisy jukebox, and had a view of the freight trains that rumbled past all night long. We wanted to like it more. Honest. With a better room, it could have been lovely.
