on the trail...

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Don't forget to pack some shoes suitable for walking/hiking along the cliffs between the towns on the Cinque Terre.

When we were walking, we saw one lady in high heels about to set off.....we advised her to turn back!

Photo Equipment: A camera is a must. The coastline is spectacular. Digital is best - that way there is no limit to the number of photos you take!!

Luggage and bags: Backpacks will work well here. The rooms are cozy and large luggage isn't wise. You also have to hike up a hill to get to your accomodations, so luggage isn't ideal.

Luggage and bags: Many of the paths and streets in the Cinque Terre are uneven or unpaved, for this reason rolling luggage is a pain in the arse...but possibly a good way to meet a young, healthy boys.
