And there are no awnings on the charming little houses so waterfalls of water fall straight off them on top of you - and all in all one can feel like one is getting drowned. An umbrella is essential but actually not enough.
Then a car flashes past and a wave from their backwash completes the - I am drowning - feeling.
But I had to laugh. I had to wade - no, not wade, swim! - down to the post office and I saw three old ladies seeking shelter in this phone box.
I noticed all the little bars put umbrella stands out by their front door when it rains. Perhaps one should park one's umbrella and seek shelter in a bar until the sun comes out again.
