Favorite Dish: Good local wine, try those that are not yet "DOC", just to get out of routine and take the risk of an extra-ordinary taste. Both main courses and seafood that we had were very well prepared, it's not useful to mention a special dish as they vary (as every serious restaurant should do) depending on the day and the season.
After exploring Sestri Levante and laying out for a while, I had lunch at Polpo Mario. They have outdoor seating. Started with a seafood carpaccio followed by a seafood pasta dish. I shared my bottle of wine with a grandmother and granddaughter at the next table. When their secondo (main) came out - a huge seafood platter - they insisted (ancora, ancora) that I have some.
Set in a 17th century villa near Sestri Levante. The specialty seems to be pizza about 90 versions. Seafood also shares the spot light.
