Chiara - not silent at all in Silent Bay...
...but organizing our lunch with utttz in a nearby restaurant.
And a cat in the boat watching Chiara...
Chiara and the cats - that is a never-ending story, as they talk to each other like friends who have not met for a long time...
...Thank god, cats don't know about cell-phones ;-))

I took this pic in the beginning of march 2002.
The weather was rather warm already, but with a steady breeze.
The houses built so close to the beach are a certain protection against the wind, maybe that is where the bay got its name from.
Don't miss that small church at the end of the bay, it looks lovely also from inside, but unfortunately it was locked that morning, we were there.

What a lovely bay with plenty of fishing boats , nice beach-hotels and a great sandy beach...
...and a small cat taking a sunbath inside one of the boats.
The best thing about this bay is the fact, that all of the sandy beach is open to the public and not a bit of the beach is owned by just only one of the many hotels.

Bay of Silence is a wonderful quiet romantic bay. It has a small boardwalk, but most of the houses come as far as the beach. It's a public beach where you will find many locals. In front of the boardwalk you'll find the typical boats called "gozzi", resting on the beach after a fishing trip.
I liked this part of Sestri Levante the best.
