From the outside, you don't have the impression that this church is so beautiful on the inside. I liked it very much. It's so different from other churches I have visited so far.
There were many glass (crystal?) chandeliers and the church was decorated with lovely red flowers. To me the interior looked more like a festive room in one of the famous castles like Versaille near Paris or Schönbrunn in Vienna.

This monastery dates back to 1688 and it is located in a fantastic location, a bit uphill on Baia del Silenzio, with stunning views on the bay.
The convent is still active and there are a few monks "Cappuccini" living there, celebrating a public Mass every day. Visitors are welcome in the convent.

This rocky promontory at the west end of Sestri Levante is a good place for rock climbing and snorkelling. The mountain drops abruptly into the sea and it can be tricky to arrive there on foot.
There is a ruined church on top of the rocks (100 meters above) and a road tunnel close to the sea. Do not go there when the sea is rough as it can be dangerous.

The main beach in Sestri Levante is on Baia delle Favole, and it is about 1 km long.
In summer it is mostly partitioned between private establishments and public beach is limited in space.
In my opinion it is much better in late spring or early fall.

The local administration recently bought and placed a sculpture made by Gio' Pomodoro, a famous contemporary italian sculptor, recently dead.
The large metal sculpture represents a sail and it is placed in a small square close to the sea boulevard.

It has been recently restored and it now houses an active cultural center.
It is wondefrully located at one end of Baia del Silenzio, overlooking the sea.

Look around, especially when wandering along the Bay of Fables, there are some beautiful buildings here.

Sestri Levante has a nice centre. Walk along the small alleys going from the bays towards the train station. They are lively and full of shops and places to eat or drink.
