The first time I drove around Lake Como it had just snowed overnight on New Years Day and there was quite a lot of snow around - the lake was quite misty but it was a rather beautiful and romantic look.
The second time was a very different look with clear blue skies and sunshine in early spring the following February. It was lovely to drive up the hill above Como and look down over the town centre and the lake and see the beautiful villas and their gardens with spring flowers brightening the landscape.
