L'Opéra is a very classic/baroque decorated café with old furniture, paintings and accessories, to tell the truth, this is how I imagine 19th century bordel. :))) It is so glamurous and chic, and kind of cheesy, but so beautiful in fact. The music is splendid, all kinds of jazz (I was especially thrilled with dixieland and all those oldies!), and also some ambiental/ethno music, like Gotan Poject. It's a truly great place!

There is this club in Via Varese with the Blues Brothers "sitting" on the top, and the huge airplane elissa just in front of them. it's a cool place with great music, lots of young people and decorated in a funny and interesting way. But what I disliked was the big American flag at the window. Anyway...

Favorite thing: The sky is stunning even in the bad weather. Nothing extreme ever happens in Gallarate, storms inculded, the most you can get are some soft raindrops, but the sky can be gorgeous, and thus one of its best features.

Favorite thing: However, there is one thing about Gallarate that is highly appealing - the sky. It has a dark side of it too, the more polluted the area, the better sunsets. :-( Gallarate has spectacular sunsets!

Favorite thing: Odd enough, but it rarely snows in Lombardy, which is quite bizzare since the Alps are so near. But, when it does, it creats a collapse! Italians are not well prepared and equipped for the snow. The airports shut down, high ways as well, it is so funny to see them fuss about something so normal. :)) Since the snow comes rarely to the area, I couldn;t miss the opportunity to photograph the rare occasion.

Favorite thing: This is the most beautiful feature of Gallarate I think. A very charming fountain in front of the church on the main square, enlighted with neon blue lights by night, and curved with hyeroglyph alike images, it's really precious!!!

Favorite thing: The center of Gallarate is very pretty in fact, there is a quite large square with a beautiful church, and another smaller one. The area is for pedestrians only and the road is cobbled. There are ornaments on it, and cute benches. Shops are so well matched, and they don't stand out at all. It's the only lovely place in the town.

Favorite thing: There is nothing else you'd see in Gallarate except houses, homes, mansions and more houses, maybe some villas, and a few small buildings with flats, more and more houses and only houses.
