joey22 Says: All visitors to this region of Italy must try the local Grappa...In the Chiese Valley, locals flavor Grappa with Lemon Verbena . It can only be found in this region of Italy and is called Persighina. It has a fantastic lemon herbal aroma and a smooth flavor...very very nice....
nighthawk Says: Applejuice often is mixed with kiwi juice which gives it it strange colour....kids did not like it much and as you can see at hubby's face, he don t think much of it either (or was it cause he had to pay for drinks which weren t drunk?)
nighthawk Says: We drove through the mountains along Valtenesi lake and found this restaurant (hosteria).Our middle child was feeling poorly and that s why we stopped here.Besides, I needed a break! driving through mountains isn't my favourite way to pass my time.
nighthawk Says: Just behind the restaurant was this stream and of course the kids had to puddle in it some.. Freezing cold water!
nighthawk Says: Haha one thing I hate is watercycling! Am far too lazy!! but since I got kids who wanted to go on the water I had no choice but giving in.One positive side effect was we all were rosey from the sun..
nighthawk Says: It was hot! Temps over 30 degrees and we all were glad to sit down under this large tree. Of course I sneaked off to see if the shop had something nice for sale ... haha.. too bad I didn t bring enough money :-(
