Como is perhaps the most famous town on the lake, very lively and charming, and very popular among the tourists. However, I find Lecco much more beautiful and interesting! But in Como you can find some peculiar things, like the monument to Volta, the famous scientist, who was originally from the town of Como, the grand Duomo, a very impressive cathedral in the heart of the town, a lovely promenade by the lake side leading to beautiful Villa Olmo, aero club with hydroplanes landing and taking off from the lake...
