Few have visited Lago di Como and not taken this most famous Passeggiata - Lino Gelpi. It leads you along the lake from Piazza Cavour at the historic center lakeside to Villa Olmo. Whatever the season, you will see enchanting Lake vistas, villas, locals and tourists alike.
Well, I donno - these guys may have been kindly feeding the ducks - or, just getting a kick out creating a feeding frenzy. First they fed the birds - then, came a few ducks - then the swans caught on to the happenings, and the seagulls decided to join the party - along with the pigeons and birds up where the guys had the goods! It became more like a soccer free for all and a grand spectator sport for all passersby - myself included.
I considered a culinary tip here......
It is hard to match the stroll along the lakeside path from Piazza Cavour to Villa Olmo. Old villas - newly refurbished old villas - flowers and fauna - dodge the local residents on bicycles along the way - another astonishing view of the lake at every turn.
