Lago di Como, Lago di Como
The weather changes so quickly and the forecasts are little help. So, if you awaken and find yourself in the midst of a clear day - don't miss the boat. Every time I go out on the lake I see a new view.
And, if you do take the first one - take another! There are a few different ferry boats that will each take you on a unique ride. Let lovely Lake Como reveal her secrets to you through more than one boat tour.
This was the small ferry boat that takes you to the litte villages close to Como - an hour and a half on the lake.
If you go to Como don't just stay near the duomo but there are boat trips that take you to the small villages around the lake. You can just stop in each village and explore it and then catch another boat and go to another village and go on. We had really a good time, we encountered a wedding and we stopped talking to them. Also the most village that I liked is Cernobbio, it is a bit high class. We stayed there and went for a coffee and enjoyed the wonderful view.
There are a few of these vistas that have steps leading down to the lake - the largest and most prominent being at Villa Olmo. This one is along the Passeggiata Lino Gelpi.
OK, well you don't exactly walk on water - but you walk this pier quite far out into the lake that you feel you are walking on water. Boats pass very closely in front of you.
It is so beautiful at Lake Como. We drove from the North of the Lake through all of the little towns towars Lecco. Then up the inside leg towards Bellagio.
